We have several community building opportunities coming in the next several months, so please mark your calendars!
Worship as a Class: Sunday, Dec 10 8:30 a.m.
Worship together is a vital part of our faith. It unites our hearts with God and with others in powerful ways. We believe having the class worship together occasionally in the year ahead will help create a stronger relationship between our tweens and their leaders. We will reserve pews and the class leaders and 5th graders will sit together for the service.
5th Grade Milestone Retreat: Saturday, January 27, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day is filled with activities centered on experiencing the 6 Great Ends of the Church, a trip to Preston Taylor Ministries to serve with the children there, and then parents are invited to join for dinner and a brief worship time that the kids will lead.
Serving Together at Preston Taylor Ministry: Sunday, March 11, 1-3 p.m. at FPC
A variety of opportunities will be provided for your family to serve in the local Nashville community through “Serving Together” We strongly encourage your family to take advantage of these opportunities; tweens are empowered when they experience making a difference for others in the world.
Worship at Downtown Presbyterian Church: Sunday, April 22, 9:45 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
The class will take a field trip to worship at Downtown Presbyterian Church and enjoy lunch after the service.
