Candyee Goode, Director of the Early Preschool

Candyee is a native of Georgia but ever since moving to Nashville, to attend college at Lipscomb University, she has called Tennessee her home. She has over 30 years’ experience in the Early Education field with experience ranging from being a preschool classroom teacher, to shepherding adult students through the Child Development Associate Credential program to Directing Preschool Programs. Candyee’s passion lies with all things early childhood, especially program design and environmental center design. She is also a huge advocate for emergent curriculum and the Reggio philosophy of learning. 

Candyee is married to Richard Goode who is a professor at Lipscomb University and the Founding Director of the LIFE program (Lipscomb Initiative for Education). Candyee and Richard have two adult daughters, Anastasia and Mary Elisabeth.  Candyee’s hobbies include reading and antiquing.
